Before the season, Vancouver and Portland joined Major League Soccer. Carolina, Minnesota, Puerto Rico, Tampa Bay, Miami and Montreal went to the NASL. Miami FC became the Ft Lauderdale Strikers. FC Edmonton joined the league. The Atlanta Silverbacks rejoined the league backed by the NASL. |
